Getting the Christmas Tree

Friday, Nov. 26th we went and got our tree. This time we found it at the first place we looked! We actually weren't sure we wanted that tree and were going to go look at some other places, but Riley said, "No, let's get THIS tree!" So we did. It's actually a nice tree, just smaller than what we usually get. Actually, it's probably the smallest we've ever gotten. Riley had fun helping with the lights and ornaments. Each morning he woke up asking if we can put more ornaments on the tree. I'll have pictures posted sometime...

Maddie likes Cheesecake

Last weekend we were out to dinner and split a cheesecake. Marci gave Maddie a little tiny taste. Her eyes got big and she had huge smile - she liked it. Marci gave her another piece and as the fork was moving towards her mouth, she opened it and even moved her head towards the fork. Then Marci took a bite and as she moved the fork towards her mouth, Maddie watched it all the way with her mouth open. LOL! Guess she's got Daddies sweet tooth, at least for cheesecake.

Cute Riley

This last weekend Riley was doing something and I said, "You are so smart!" His reply was great - "I know." LOL!!

Maddie Laughing

We have this little snowman that sings and bounces, he actually jumps a little. Last night Riley found it (he's been going through the Christmas stuff wanting to get it all ready because he want's Santa to come) and wanted to play with it. After putting in new batteries, we turned it on.

Marci was standing there holding Maddie and Riley was standing on a step-stool next to her. Maddie immediately took notice of the snowman, had a little grin, but when he bounced, wow! That's the LOUDEST I've heard her laugh yet! I mean she was just tickled and laughing really hard! Thanks to Mom, Dad & Pete, I used our new mini-camcorder to capture it on video.

Hiccups

Awhile back, Riley had the hiccups. I tried to get rid of them by scaring him - I was standing next to him and suddenly grabbed him and went "AHHHHH!" He jumped, looked up at me and said, "Daddy! What are you doing?!" I told him sometimes you can get rid of hiccups by scaring them out. I tried it a few more times, it didn't work, and he said, "Daddy, that's enough."

This last weekend Maddie had the hiccups. Riley went over to her, gently shook her and went "AHHHHH!" I asked what he was doing. His reply: "Sometimes you have to scare the hiccups out of Maddie." Made me laugh!

Welcome!

I decided to give this a try, use a blog to write down things that happen with our family, things we do, things we experience. Just a way for family and friends to keep up with what's going on. If you have any comments or suggestions, please let me know!
